table setting
A beautiful table setting gives your guests a nice welcome to the table. Silverware, porcelain and glass in a nice combination is a delight for the eye, where silver cutlery completes the table setting. Even a simple invitation becomes a happy party with beautiful silver cutlery. Your silverware provides lasting joy that can be passed down for several generations.
Below you can see some table setting suggestions that you can use as a starting point. But as always, you are free to create your own table setting.
Starter, main course and dessert
Everything your guest has in front of them on the table is called a place setting. A place setting often consists of a plate, cutlery, glass and napkin. If you want to set the table formally, you should use a tablecloth. The starter cutlery is at the farthest end and then you place the main course cutlery. Fork on the left side and knife with the edge facing in towards the plate on the right side.

Soup, appetizer, main course and dessert
When setting the table for your guests, the main rule is that they should use the cutlery from the outside in. Knives are placed on the right with the edge facing the plate, forks are placed on the left. The cutlery for the starter should be on the outside, as it is often served first, and if you are offering soup, the spoon should be to the right of the knives. Dessert cutlery is placed above the plate in front of the glasses. The dessert spoon should have the handle on the right and if a dessert fork is used, it should have the handle on the left.

Starter, Main course with bread and dessert
If guests are going to eat bread or salad with their meal, you can place a plate at the top left. Here we have placed a butter knife on the plate. The napkin should be to the left of the plate, or on or under the plate. It can also be placed in the glass if it does not lint.

Pie, seafood and dessert
If you are serving crayfish or other shellfish, a shellfish fork may be a good idea. It is placed on the right side of the plate along with the knives.
